Carmageddon in Cardiff

The Local Development Plan (LDP) was passed by the Labour-led Cardiff Council after they went into an election claiming they wanted to protect green fields.

Within months of being elected to Cardiff Council, Labour announced plans to build tens of thousands of houses on green fields, mostly in the west of Cardiff. The houses are far too expensive for most local people to afford. I have been campaigning against these plans since I first heard about them.

With little infrastructure in place the LDP is also likely to lead to thousands of extra cars on the roads and severe pressure on doctors’ places.

We can't stop the first phase of the development now because it is already being built.

But we can stop the later phases in order to protect the remaining green fields and keep thousands of extra cars of the roads. If you want to take part in or stay up to date with the campaign to revoke the LDP then please click β€˜sign up’ below and fill in your details.
